During the COVID lockdowns, Chris “Noteherder” Parfitt has been exchanging soundfiles with several members of the Spirit of Gravity Collective. This is the result of one of those collaborations, with I’m Dr Buoyant sampling sounds from field recordings by Noteherder over a day at Newhaven fort to create rhythms and soundspaces for Noteherder to improvise over. He responded with reeds work and elements of musique concrète to create the four tracks of “The Floating Museum”.
