This is the first release from Not By Radium, I’m Dr Buoyant’s occasional project concentrating on longform works. “A Symphony of Bones” consists of four pieces, each designed to fit on one side of a C90 cassette, presented here in edited form.

These recordings were made using samples that have been stretched, overlaid and manipulated to create a work of epic loops and drones. The title refers to the fact that all samples were selected, sequenced and organised according to the roll of dice. The coherent structure of the four pieces belies the elements of chance used in their creation.
